I was interested to find this set of pictures. My great grandfather was committed to this “sjukhus” — probably around 1910. Later, one of his sons — who had tried to derail a train from Oslo because he was angry at one of the rail workers — was also committed. The son died at Marieberg at the age of 24, perhaps from tuberculosis, according to his older sister (my grandmother).
It is always intresting to hear stories about places I have visited!
